Bipolar Not ADHD: Unrecognized Epidemic of Manic Depressive Illness in Children by George Isaac, MD

Co-morbid Disorders

These are books that Brainstorm Parents have found helpful in dealing with their child's co-morbid disorders. Only books that pass the "parent approval" test are listed in our bookstore.

– There are many similarities of symptoms between Bipolar and ADHD. Dr. Isaac does a great job of sifting through the diagnostic miasma to point out things that are often missed by treating physicians. The diagnostic information makes a separation of symptoms much more clear, explains why so much is often missed in children and helps to clarify each diagnosis. He also goes through information on the comorbidity of both disorders. The second half of the book is dedicated to treatment options and is a little outdated but still has some good information. ~scifinut
